Franču un latviešu runas stila īpatnību ietekme uz tulkošanu

Abstract

Salīdzinot franču un latviešu runas stilu, pirmā atšķirība, kas nāk prāta ir franču ekspresīvais un izteiksmīgai runas veids, taču veicot sīkāku franču runu analīzi atklājas, ka vislielākās problēmas latviešu tulkiem varētu sagādāt bagātīgais metaforu lietojums, specifiskas abreviatūras un nacionālās reālijas, kā arī franču un latviešu kultūru atšķirīgā runu veidošanas prakse. Darba ietvaros tika pētītas pielikumā pievienotās septiņas franču politiķu runas un identificētas konkrētas problēmas, kuras rodas šīs runas tulkojot latviešu valodā. Tā kā pat vienas kultūras pārstāvju runas stils, dažādu faktoru ietekmē, ievērojami atšķiras, nav iespējams izdarīt visaptverošus secinājumus par franču runas stilu kopumā, taču arī vienā konkrētā jomā – šajā gadījumā politiskajā diskursā – indentificētās īpatnības sniedz ieskatu problēmās ar kurām jāsaskaras tulkojot no franču valodas.

Comparing French and Latvian speech style the most obvious difference seems to be the expressive manner of French speech, but more detailed research of French speech, reveals more particularities affecting translation in Latvian – use of metaphorical expressions, specific abreviations, specific national terms, as well as different practice of speech construction. This research paper is based on the analysis of speeches of seven French politicians and reveals problems the interpreter has to face while interpreting these speeches in Latvian. As the speech style is affected by different factors and considerately varies, even among the representatives of one culture, it is not possible to draw general conclusions regarding French speech style all together, however even the conclusions based on the analysis of speech style in one specific sphere – in this case political discourse- may provide an insight in the problems the interpreter has to face while interpreting from French.
