Pilsētas tēls Tomasa Hārdija romānos

Abstract

Aleksejevas Jekaterina bakalaura darbs analizē pilsētas tēlu Tomasa Hardija romānos “Tesa no D’Erbervilu cilts”, “Džūda neievērojams” un “Kāsterbridžas mērs”. Trīs romāni tika izanalizēti no pilsētas arhitektūras, ģimenes dzīves, izglītības un kultūras pasākumu attēlojuma viedokļa. Ievaddaļā darba autore sniedz pamatinformāciju par katru no trim romāniem, galvenajiem varoņiem un piedāvā trīs romānu salīdzinošu analīzi. Turpinājuma darba autore pievēršas pilsētas vides un arhitektūras izpētei. Apakšnodaļā „Pilsētas dzīve” tiek pētīta trīs romānu galveno varoņu profesionālā darbība. Apakšnodaļa „Izglītība, kultūras pasākumi, ģimenes dzīve” veltīta varoņu ikdienas dzīves, viņu ģimenes dzīves un brīvā laika pavadīšana analīzei, veltot īpašu uzmanību ģimenes dzīvei un attiecībām starp cilvēkiem. Bakalaura darba noslēgumā autore apkopo pētījuma rezultātus un izdara secinājumus par Tomasa Hardija deviņpadsmitā gadsimta Anglijas pilsētas dzīves attēlojumu

Jekaterina Aleksejeva’s bachelor paper examines the image of the city in Thomas Hardy’s works “Tess of the D’Urbervilles”, “Jude the Obscure” and “The Mayor of Casterbridge”. The three novels are analyzed from the point of view of city architecture, family life, education, and cultural events. First of all, the author of the paper provides general information about each of three novels, main characters and performs comparative analysis of the novels. Next, the paper examines urban environment and architecture. The subchapter “City life” considers business and profession of the main characters of the novels. The subchapter “Education, cultural events, family life” focuses on characters’ everyday life, their family life and leisure, paying attention to family life and relationship between persons. In the final part of the bachelor paper the author summarizes the results of her research and draws relevant conclusions about Thomas Hardy’s presentation of urban life in nineteenth century England.
