Baltu mitoloģijas dievību īpašvārdu tulkošana franču valodā: latviešu dainu tulkošana franču valodā

Abstract

Latvju dainas ir ne vien nacionāls, bet arī pasaules mēroga fenomens, par ko liecina arī to iekļaušana UNESCO pasaules mantojuma sarakstā. Mišels Žonvāls, Nadīne Vītols Diksona un Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga ir tulkojuši dainas franču valodā. Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir baltu mitoloģijas dievību īpašvārdu tulkošana. Kādā veidā onomastika darbojas tulkošanā un kā izvēlēties tulkošanas stratēģiju dievību gadījumā? Darba mērķis ir izveidot baltu mitoloģijas dievību īpašvārdu tulkošanas tabulu franču valodā, pamatojoties uz teorētisko literatūru, kā arī uz jau veikto tulkojumu analīzi. Darbā ir trīs daļas. Pirmajā tiek aplūkotas dainas un izstrādāta analīzes metodoloģija. Otrajā daļā tiek aplūkotu trīs teorētiskie aspekti: mitoloģija, onomastika un tulkošanas zinātne. Trešajā darba daļā tiek veikta jau veikto tulkojumu analīze un izstrādāta baltu mitoloģijas dievību tulkošanas tabula.

The Latvian dainas are a not only national, but international phenomenon. Michel Jonval, Nadine Vitols Dixon and Vaira Vike-Freiberga have translated the dainas into French. The theme of the present research is the translation of proper nouns of deities from Baltic mythology. Examples of translation are Latvian dainas in French. How the different aspects of onomastic and how to chose the correct translation strategy for the proper name of the deity? The aim is create a glossary of the translations of the deities of the Baltic mythology using the theoretical literature and the analysis of existing translations. There are three parts. In the first one we create the methodology of the work. In the second part we talk about three theoretical aspects: mythology, onomastic and translation. In the third part we do the analysis of existing translations and create the glossary of translations.
