Vārdu krājuma mācīšana angļu valodas kā svešvalodas stundās

Abstract

Rīkojoties ar leksiku, skolotājs var saskarties ar problēmām, kas saistītas ar tās izvēli, prezentēšanu un izskaidrošanu, kā arī ar problēmu kādas aktivitātes piedāvāt skolēniem. Stundu novērošanas rezultāti un anketu analīze parāda, ka skolēni ir pasīvi, jo ir par maz iespēju praktizēt leksiku un vārdi ir apgūti ar tulkošanas palīdzību. Ņēmot vērā šos faktus, studentiem tika piedāvātas reālas dzīves aktivitātes balstītas uz aktīvo macīšanos, kas bija izstrādātas dažāda tipa skolēniem. Leksika, prezentēta ar attēlu palīdzību, bija interesantaka, jo attēli palīdzēja izvairīties no tulkošanas. Testa rezultāti un studentu novērtēšana parāda, ka aktīva skolnieku iesaistīšana mācību procesā, veicot aktivitātes, kuras balstās uz reālo dzīvi, ir izklaidējošas, saistošas un efektīvas.

When dealing with vocabulary the teacher may come across the challenges connected with vocabulary choice, presentation and explanation as well as what activities to give to students. The results of the observation of lessons and analysis of the questionnaires show that there is lack of activity from students’ part, there are few opportunities to practise new vocabulary and words are presented by means of translation. Taking these facts into consideration, the students were provided with real life activities based on active learning and designed for different types of learners. Vocabulary presentation by means of pictures was more interesting and it helped to avoid translation. The results of the test and the students’ evaluation show that being actively engaged with the material doing activities based on real life is entertaining, involving and effective.
