Ārprāta attēlojums Selmas Lāgerlēvas stāstos „Portugāles ķeizars” un „Muižas sāga”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Ārprāta attēlojums Selmas Lāgerlēvas stāstos Portugāles Ķeizars un Muižas Sāga”. Selma Lāgerlēva ir viena no pasaulē pazīstamākajām zviedru rakstniecēm. Savos darbos Portugāles Ķeizars un Muižas Sāga rakstniece attēlo divus vīriešus (Skrulikas Janu un Gunāru Hiedi), kuri nelaimju mākti kļūst ārprātīgi. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot kādas dzīves grūtības var novest cilvēku līdz ārprātam un kādi spēki var palīdzēt garīgi slimam cilvēkam atveseļoties. Teorētiskajā daļā bakalaura darba autore apskatīs Selmas Lāgerlēvas biogrāfiju, Portugāles Ķeizara un Muižas Sāgas sižetu, kā arī pievērsīsies ārprāta attēlojumam literatūrā. Praktiskajā daļā tiks analizēts ārprāta attēlojums abos Selmas Lāgerlēvas stāstos. Izanalizējot abus stāstus, darba autore ir nonākusi pie sekojošiem secinājumiem: ar garīgi slimu cilvēku kopā palikt izvēlas tikai kāds, kurš viņu patiešām mīl; mīlestība ir spēks, kas palīdz izārstēt ārprātīgu cilvēku; bērni ne vienmēr novērtē savus vecākus un visu, ko viņi dara savu bērnu labā.

The theme of the bachelor paper is “Representation of madness in Selma LagerlĻfs stories En herrgårdssägen and Kejsarn av Portugallien”. Selma LagerlĻf is one of the most popular Swedish writers in the world. In her stories En herrgårdssägen and Kejsarn av Portugallien she represents two men – Jan and Gunnar Hede – who become mad because of difficulties in their lives. The main purpose of the research is to find out what kind of difficulties can cause and lead a person to mental illness and what can help a mad person to recover. In the theoretical part the author of the bachelor thesis will look at Selma LagerlĻfs biography, the plot of the stories En herrgårdssägen and Kejsarn av Portugallien and will deal with representation of madness used in literature. The practical part will present the analysis of mental illness used in Selma LagerlĻfs both stories. Having analyzed both stories, the author of the bachelor paper has come to the following conclusions: only one who loves decides to stay with mentally ill person; love is the power that can help to heal a mad person; children not always appreciate their parents and everything what they have done for them.
