Artikulu mācīšana vidusskolas līmenī

Abstract

Artikuli ir visbiežāk lietotā vārdšķira angļu valodā, un skolēniem, kas mācās angļu valodu kā svešvalodu, parasti ir problēmas ar dažādu artikulu pielietojumu atšķiršanu. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir uzzināt, kuras mācīšanas metodes vislabāk atbilst artikulu mācīšanai vidusskolas līmenī. Pētījumā pielietotā metode ir gadījuma pētījums. Skolēnu novērošana, iepriekšēja testēšana un testēšanu pēc novadītajām mācību stundām ir pētījumā izmantotie datu vākšanas rīki. Pētījuma dalībnieki ir piecdesmit septiņi kādas Latvijas ģimnāzijas desmitās klases skolēni. Pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka, izmantojot gramatikas tulkošanas metodi, komunikatīvo mācīšanas metodi, deduktīvo mācīšanas metodi un uz skolēniem centrēto mācīšanas metodi nodarbībās, skolēni labāk apgūst artikulu lietojumu.

Articles are the most frequently used items of the English language and English learners typically experience problems when it comes to distinguishing between the usages of articles. The purpose of this research is to find out which teaching methods could be appropriate in teaching articles at secondary level. The research method of the paper is a case study. Observation, pre-testing and post-testing were selected as data collection tools. Fifty-seven secondary school students from a gymnasium in Latvia participated in the research. The results of the research show that when the Grammar-Translation method, the Communicative Language Teaching approach, Deductive Teaching, and Learner-Centred Teaching are combined, the students acquire articles more efficiently.
