Juridiskā angļu valoda pragmalingvistiskajā skatījumā

Abstract

Juridiskā diskursa lomai mūsdienu sabiedrībā ir liela nozīme. Veiktais pētījums raksturo juridisko diskursu un pragmalingvistiskās iezīmes, kas veido likuma “Par Latvijas Banku” un Eiropas Centrālo banku sistēmas statūtu diskursa uzbūvi. Pētījumā veikta diskursa veidojošo vienību pragmalingvistiskā analīze, lai atklātu teksta uzbūves ietekmi uz teksta pragmatisko funkciju. Teksta pragmatiskā analīze ir balstīta uz jēdzienu “konteksts”, kas nosaka īpašu lingvistisko elementu pielietojumu juridiskajā diskursā, sekmējot loģisku faktu izklāstu. Iegūtie rezultāti ļauj secināt, ka pētījumā izmantotie dokumenti īsteno vienas un tās pašas pragmatiskās funkcijas, bet dažādā mērogā. Legal discourse is of important value considering its potential in the modern society. The present study examines legal discourse, and, in particular, the pragmalinguistic features contributing to structuring the discourse of the Law „On the Bank of Latvia” and the Statute of the European System of Central Banks. The pragmalinguistic investigation of the discourse forming units was carried out in order to define the impact made by the structures on the pragmatic function of the documents. Text pragmatic analysis concentrates on the study of the notion context that determines the use of the particular linguistic units in legal discourse contributing to the logical structuring of arguments. The obtained results enable to conclude that the documents under analysis perform the same pragmatic functions, but to different extents.
