Izglītība baltu filoloģijā. Studiju ceļā

Abstract

„Bet ko tu pēc tam darīsi ar iegūto grādu?” - ir tāds jautājums, ar kuru dažādu humanitāro zinātņu pārstāvjiem, tostarp arī baltu filoloģijas studentiem, nākas sastapties ne reizi vien. Pētījuma dati norāda uz to, ka šāda tipa jautājumus informantiem uzdod ne tikai ģimenes locekļi un draugi, reizēm tie šādi jautā arī paši sev. Apkopojot medijos pasniegto informāciju, kā arī, apsverot par to, ko ir nācies dzirdēt no tuviniekiem, priekšstati paredz to, ka Baltu filoloģijas studijas nav nepieciešamas vai arī skaidri apzinātas. Tādēļ ir svarīgi uzzināt pašu Baltu filoloģijas studentu priekšstatus par universitātē apgūto zināšanu pielietojumu. Šajā pētījumā, tiek atklāta Baltu filoloģijas bakalaura un maģistra studiju programmas studentu naratīvu analīze, izzinot viņu viedokli tādos jautājumus, kā: Kā tiek skaidrota izvēle mācīties baltu filoloģiju? Kā tiek aprakstīts studiju process? Kā tiek vērtētas mācību procesā iegūtās zināšanas un prasmes? Kā baltu filoloģija tiek saistīta nākotnes plāniem? Atslēgvārdi: izglītības antropoloģija, liminalitāte, iztraucējošās zināšanas, varas attiecības, studenta aģentūra, humanitārās zinātnes.

„But what will you do with the acquired degree?” – that is a question students of humanities, including students of the Baltic philology coming across time and again. Research data indicates that such questions are asked to the students not only by their relatives and friends but sometimes even by themselves. Summing up information available from mass media, as well as considering what we have heard from our relatives, it seems that Baltic Philology studies are not necessary or not clearly acknowledged. Therefore it is important find out what are the perceptions of Baltic philology students about the application of knowledge acquired at the university. This study goes through an analysis of the narratives given by students of Baltic philology Bachelor's and Master's programs, exploring their views on issues such as: How did you choose to study Baltic philology? How is described the study process? How are valued the knowledge and skills acquired in the learning process? What are the ways of connecting this knowledge and skills to the individual future plans?
