“Baltijas ceļa” refleksija Baltijas krievvalodīgajā presē

Abstract

Pētījums ir veltīts akcijai Baltijas Ceļš, kas notika 1989. gada 23. augustā, un tās attēlojumam presē – krieviski iznākošajos laikrakstos Latvijā un Igaunijā. Pētījums satur vēsturisko daļu – Baltijas masu mēdiju aprakstu un to ietekmes uz akciju vērtējumu. Pētījuma metode ir satura analīze, izmantojot izvēlētu laikrakstu akcijai veltītos rakstus un reportāžas, kas iznākuši 1989.gada augustā, secinājumi ir balstīti uz statistikas analīzi. Pamatatšķirības un sakritības attēlojumā ir aprakstītas, kā pamatu izmantojot ideoloģijas konceptus, mediju loma ir analizēta kā ideoloģisks uzdevums un mīta rašanās.

The paper is dealing with the reflection of Baltic way event, that took place in August, 23, 1989 in Baltic republics in Russian-language Latvian and Estonian newspapers. The work includes historical background, the characteristic of the Baltic mass media of that time and their importance for the event. The method of the research is content analysis of the articles published in chosen newspapers and August, 1989 and devoted to the Baltic way event, the conclusions are made dealing with the statistical tools. Basic similar and different features of the reflection of two countries’ newspapers are described, on the basis of formulation of the concept of ideology and its role for mass media the position of Baltic way as ideological issue and myth is analysed.
