Sabiedrības un personības koncepcija Oldesa Hakslija romānā "Brīnišķīgā jaunā pasaule"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Sabiedrības un personības koncepcija Oldesa Hakslija romānā „Brīnišķīgā jaunā pasaule” pēta romānā attēlotās sabiedrības struktūru un personības lomu tajā. Šis pētījums ir veikts, lai pierādītu hipotēzi, ka stabilas un laimīgas sabiedrības koncepcija ir izcilas individuālās cilvēka īpatnības absolūtā demoralizācija ar milzīgo tehnoloģisko un zinātnisko sasniegumu pielietojumu. Šī pētījuma galvenais mērķis ir noskaidrot sabiedrības dzīves principus un noteikumus, analizēt sociālās un vadības struktūras efektivitāti, novērtēt sabiedrības morālas un ētiskas vērtības un izpētīt indivīdu apspiestības nosacījumu sabiedrības stabilitātes veidošanai un saglābšanai. Lai pierādītu hipotēzi un izpildītu pētījuma galveno mērķi, darba autore izmantoja sekojošas pētniecības metodes: informācijas, kas attiecas uz diplomdarba tēmu, izvēle un apkopošana; izvēlēto datu analīze un interpretācija, koncentrējoties uz svarīgākajām idejām, kas ir nozīmīgi darba mērķa sasniegšanai; attiecīgo secinājumu iegūšana. Pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka Oldesa Hakslija utopiska, proti, laimīga un stabila sabiedrība, sastāv no nomāktām, padevīgām būtnēm, kuras rada, īstenojot sarežģītus zinātnes un tehnoloģiskos sasniegumu, ko izstrādā cilvēka ģēnijs.

Bachelor Thesis „Conception of Society and Personality in Aldous Huxley’s novel Brave New World” explores the structure of depicted in the novel society and the role of individual in it. The present research is done to prove the hypothesis that conception of stable and happy society consists in entire demoralization of individual exceptional features of human being, by implication of immense scientific and technological advancements. The principal aim of the research is to determine the main principles and conditions of existence of society; to analyse the sufficiency of social structure and governing of the ruling top; to assess the moral and ethical values of society and to explore the conditions of oppression of human mind for the sake of building and upholding stability and prosperity. In order to prove the hypothesis and to accomplish the principal aim, the author of the research applied several research methods: selection and collection of information applicable to the topic of the BA Thesis; analysis and interpretation of selected data, focusing on the most significant ideas which could be the key information in achieving the aim of the work and drawing of relevant conclusions. The results of the present research proved that utopian, namely happy and stable society, consists of suppressed, obedient beings which are created by implementation of sophisticated scientific and technological advancements elaborated by human genius.
