Kultūras reāliju tulkošana literārajās pasakās

Abstract

Diplomdarbs veltīts kultūras reāliju tulkošanai literārajās pasakās. Darba tēma ir “Kultūras reāliju tulkošana literārajās pasakās”. Darbā aprakstīts literatūras žanrs pasaka, kultūras reālijas un to tulkošanas problēmas un pieejas. Darbā analizēti pasaku tulkojumi, no kuriem divi ir diplomdarba autores tulkojumi, un vienu ir tulkojusi profesionāla tulkotāja. Analīze apskata pasakās atrodamās kultūras reālijas un apspriež to tulkošanas problēmas un pieejas. Konkrētās pasakas tika izvēlētas tāpēc, ka tām ir dažāds stils un tēlojuma vieta, taču tās atbilst literāro pasaku principiem. Darba uzdevums ir pierādīt hipotēzi: kultūras reāliju tulkošanas pieeja pasakās atkarīga no kultūras reāliju funkcijas. Darba secinājumi galvenokārt apstiprina domu, ka kultūras reāliju, kas apgrūtina tulkošanu kā barjera, nav iespējams iztulkot ideāli, taču tulkotājam jāizvēlas piemērota pieeja, lai tiktu galā ar šo problēmu. The present diploma paper is devoted to translation of cultural realia in literary fairy-tales. The theme of the paper is “Rendering Cultural Realia in Literary Fairy-tales”. It describes fairy-tales as a genre, cultural realia and approaches to translation of cultural realia. The analysis is based on three translated fairy-tales, from which two are translated by the author of the paper and the other one is translated by a professional translator. The analysis focuses on cultural realia found in the fairy-tales and their translation problems and approaches. The particular fairy-tales were chosen, as they differ in their style and setting, but they follow the principles of a literary fairy-tale. The purpose of the paper was to prove the hypothesis: approach for cultural realia translation in fairy-tales depends on the function of cultural realia. The conclusions of the research mostly confirm that cultural realia, which can function as a barrier, is difficult to be translated, but translator should choose the best approach to deal with it.
