Darba nosaukums ir ‘Informatīvais intonācijas stils britu angļu valodā’. Darbā tiek pētīts informatīvais intonācijas stils britu angļu valodā, balstoties uz izvēlētā materiāla auditīvu analīzi, materiāls ir iegūts no ziņu pārraides ierakstiem.
Darba mērķis ir analizēt angļu valodas intonāciju un informatīvo intonācijas stilu. Pētījuma veikšanai tika izmantota auditatīvā analīze un runas analizators.
Pētījuma metodēs ietilpst teorētiskā un praktiskā metode: teorētiskā metode ir attiecīgās literatūras analīze par angļu valodas intonāciju un informatīvo intonācijas stilu, bet praktiskajā pētījumā tika izmantota auditatīvā analīze un runas analizators.
Pētījuma rezultātā autors secina, ka informatīvajā intonācijas stilā tiek izmantoti dažādi toņi, taču pārsvarā ir novēroti krītošie toņi, zemie kāpjošie toņi un krītoši kāpjošie toņi. The title of the bachelor paper is ‘Informational Intonation Style in British English’. It examines informational intonation style in British English based on phonetic analysis of materials derived from recordings of broadcast news.
The aim of the paper is to analyze intonation and informational intonation style in British English. For the purpose of the research auditive analysis and the speech analyzer has been used.
The methods of research include theoretical and practical methods: the theoretical analysis of relevant linguistic literature on English intonation and informational intonation style, an analysis of intonation on the basis of auditive analysis as well as data provided by the speech analyzer.
It is stated that the tones in informational intonation style vary, the most common being falls, low-rises and fall-rises. The non-final tone units mostly comprise of low-falls and rise-falls but final tone units carry falling tones that indicate completeness of a statement.
