Intertekstualitātes loma Deivida Lodža romānos "Maza pasaule", "Paradīzes ziņas" un "Terapija"
Abstract
Šī pētnieciskā darba mērķis ir intertekstualitātes lomas izpēte Deivida Lodža romānos „Maza pasaule”, „Paradīzes ziņas” un „Terapija”. Jautājums pētījumā analizēts no vairākiem aspektiem. Maģistra darbā tiek dots intertekstualitātes definējums, tiek apspriesti tās piemēri, vēsture, funkcijas un nozīme literatūrā. Darbā interpretēts intertekstualitātes lietojums literatūrā, konkrēti, D.Lodža romānos „Maza pasaule”, „Paradīzes ziņas” un „Terapija”. Izpētes rezultātā secināts, ka intertekstualitātes lietojumam autora darbos ir īpaša nozīme, proti, saskaņā ar Lodža viedokli, iepriekšējo mītu un literāro darbu pārveidošana lai mainītu formu vai rastu saskaņojumu ar mūsdienu dzīves priekšstatiem, lai slēptu no lasītāja īsto nozīmi, liekot viņam veidot paralēles ar citiem tekstiem un sniedzot baudu, atpazīstot vienu vai otru elementu no literārajiem darbiem, kas ieslēpti analizēto romānu tekstos. The aim of this research paper is to investigate the theme of The Role of Intertextuality in David Lodge’s Novels “Small World”, “Paradise News”, and “Therapy”. A significant amount of research has been done regarding the question under analysis. The master paper gives the definition of the term intertextuality, discusses its history, functions, examples, and the meaning it generates in literature. It introduces the presence of intertextuality in D.Lodge’s novels “Small World”, “Paradise News”, and “Therapy”. After a brief summary of the findings in the research, the thesis conclude, that in all three Lodge’s works under analysis the presence of intertextuality has very special role, most noticeably, according to Lodge, the recycling of old myth and earlier works of literature to shape or add resonance to their presentations of contemporary life, helping to hide a real meaning from the readers, making the reader draw the parallels with other texts and giving a pleasure of recognizing one or the other element from literary works presented in the novels under discussion.
