Paideia grieķu romānā

Abstract

Maģistra darba Paideia grieķu romānā mērķis ir, pamatojoties uz Romas impērijas laika tekstu – grieķu romāna – liecībām, izprast jēdziena paideia saturisko izvērsumu Romas impērijas laika kultūrtelpā. Pētījumā tiek secināts, ka paideia ir grieķiskās identitātes būtiskākais elements, un klātesošs cilvēka kā indivīda izglītošanai un iesaistīšanai sabiedrībā. Haritona Hairejs un Kalliroje ir romāns, kurā redzama jau varoņiem piemītošas attiecīgi vīrišķās un sievišķās paideia attīstība. Savukārt, Longa Dafnids un Hloja atspoguļo neziņu kā paideia trūkumu, un procesu, kā tā tiek pārvērsta par izglītošanos. Pētot paideia klātbūtni Haritona romāna galveno varoņu rīcībā un valodā, ir secināms, ka tekstā ir saskatāma divu līmeņu paideia, no kurām viena ir progresējoša, un otra ir regresējoša. Longa romānā paideia tiek no jauna iemācīta, tekstam pierādot, ka mācīšanās bez dabas palīdzības un vērojumiem ir nepilnīga lieta. In the research Paideia in a Greek Novel is given the following aim: to examine paideia as a component of Roman empire greek identity in a greek novel. In the research conclusioned that paideia is the most relevant component of greek identity and is present in education of a human being - his involvement in society as an individual. Chariton’s Chaereas and Callirhoe is a novel in which the development of an already characteristic male and female paideia can be seen. Longus’ Daphnis and Chloe displays ignorance as lack of paideia - the process in which the ignorance is transformed into learning. By researching the presence of paideia in the behaviour of Chariton’s main characters a two-level paideia is distinguishable in the text from which one is progressive and the other retrogressive. In the novel of Longus paideia is taught anew proving that learning without the help of nature and observations is an incomplete thing. Keywords: paideia, ancient greek novel, learning, pepaideumenos.
