Leksiskās kohēzijas aspekti 2011.gada Latvijas Bankas un Anglijas Bankas pārskatā

Abstract

Šis zinātniski pētnieciskais darbs ir vērsts uz izvēlēto leksiskās kohēzijas aspektu izpēti 2011. gada Latvijas Bankas un Anglijas Bankas gada pārskatā. Autore ir izanalizējusi Latvijas Bankas prezidenta Ilmāra Rimšēviča un Anglijas Bankas priekšsēdētāja Deivida Līsa (Mr Deivid Lees) priekšvārdus. Darbs ir balstīts uz Halideja un Hasanas ( 1976) leksiskās kohēzijas dalījumu atkārtojumos un vārdkopās. Darbs pēta atkārtojumus, kā vienu no leksiskās kohēzijas aspektiem. Pētījuma rezultāti rāda, ka vārdu atkārtošanai ir nozīmīgs īpatsvars analizētajos gada pārskata priekšvārdos. Secinājumā, vārdu atkārtošana, kā viens no tiešākajiem leksiskās kohēzijas aspektiem – palīdz izklāstīt informāciju skaidri, kas savukārt, ir viens no gada pārskata žanra principiem. Turklāt, Latvijas Bankas gada pārskata pētījuma rezultāti ir līdzīgi Anglijas Bankas gada pārskata pētījuma rezultātiem, kas norāda uz to, ka dotie diskursi neatšķiras savā starpā pēc savām kontekstuālajām īpatnībām.

The present paper aims to study selected aspects of lexical cohesion in 2011 Annual Report of the Bank of Latvia and the Bank of England. In particular, the author analyzed the foreword by Mr Ilmārs Rimšēvičs, the president of the Bank of Latvia and by Mr David Lees, the chairman of the Bank of England. Halliday and Hasan’s (1976) general division of lexical cohesion into reiteration and collocation has been adapted in order to investigate reiteration as one aspect of lexical cohesion. The results showed that the repetition has a notable preference in the analyzed foreword of the reports. It can be concluded that repetitions as straightforward lexical cohesive devices – assist in disseminating information clearly, which is required by the genre of Annual Reports. Moreover, the obtained results proved that the Bank of Latvia employed the pairs of cohesion similar to those used by the Bank of England, which indicates that both discourses have no noticeable contextual differences.
