Runāšanas prasmju attīstīšana vidusskolā

Abstract

Šajā zinātniskajā darbā tiek pētīti skolnieku runas un komunikācijas iemaņu attīstības līdzekļi. Teorētiskajā daļā tiek aplūkota runas loma un mērķi svešvalodu apmācības procesā, un runas procesi, kā arī tiek izskatīta sarežģītības problēma attiecīgo materiālu izvēlē runas un komunikācijas attīstības nodarbībām. Šī zinātniskā darba mērķis ir pierādīt, ka ir svarīgi un lietderīgi izmantot dažādus papildmateriālus kā atbalsta vielu galvenajām kursa mācību grāmatām. Tas apvieno teoriju ar praksi, apmeklējot un novērojot komunikāciju stundas, kā arī analizējot sarunu veidošanas aktivitātes un uzdevumus. Izdarīto secinājumu pamatā ir etnogrāfija, kuras laikā tika izmantota klases novērošana un anketu analīze kā datu savākšanas līdzekļi. Iegūtā informācija norāda uz to, ka runas un komunikācijas attīstības iemaņas var veicināt, ļaujot skolniekiem izpildīt dažādus radošus uzdevumus. Šī pētījuma rezultātus un secinājumus var izmantot angļu valodas apmācības stundu laikā, lai apmācības/mācīšanās procesu padarītu efektīvāku.

The present paper investigates the means of developing learners’ speaking skills. The theoretical part deals with the role and aims of speaking in a foreign language teaching and the speaking processes and discusses the problem of difficulty in selecting of appropriate materials for classroom speaking. The research paper aims at proving the importance and usefulness of using of different additional materials as a support to the basic course books. It relates theory to practice by attending and observing the speaking lessons and analyzing speaking activities and tasks. The conclusions drawn are based on the ethnography, during which classroom observations and the analysis of the questionnaire were used as a means of data gathering. The data obtained indicated that development of speaking skills can be fostered by exposing students to different creative tasks. The results and conclusions of this research can be used in the English classroom in order to make the teaching/learning process more effective.
