Attieksmes marķējums Dž. K. Roulingas romānā ”The Casual Vacancy”

Abstract

Šis pētnieciskais darbs aplūko attieksmes marķējumu Dž.K.Roulingas romānā “The Casual Vacancy”. Tēma tika izvēlēta, jo izpratne par attieksmes marķējumu, ko Dž.K.Roulinga izmanto romānā “The Casual Vacancy” sniedz ieskatu Roulingas attieksmē attiecībā uz tēliem un notikumiem, kā arī tēlu attieksmē citam pret citu. Pielietotās attieksmes izpratne liek lasītājam uzdot jautājumus par sociālajām, politikas un ekonomiskajām sabiedrības problēmām. Darbā tika pielietotas kvalitatīvā un kvantitatīvā pētniecības metode. Analizējot iegūtos rezultātus, tika veikti secinājumi, ka Dž.K.Roulinga izmanto attieksmes marķējumu romānā “The Casual Vacancy”, ar mērķi atklāt tēlu attieksmi vienam pret otru, taču Roulinga pati neiesaistās tēlu novērtēšanā, tādejādi atstājot novērtēšanas faktoru lasītājam.

This thesis investigates attitude markers in J.K.Rowling’s adult novel “The Casual Vacancy”. Theme was chosen because understanding the attitude markers J.K.Rowling employs in “The Casual Vacancy’’ gives an insight into Rowling’s attitude towards the characters and events, as well as the attitudes characters have towards each other. Comprehension of the applied attitudes makes the reader question social, political and economic issues of society. The methods applied in the study were quantitative and qualitative research methods. Analyzing the results, it was concluded that J.K.Rowling applies attitude markers in “The Casual Vacancy” in order to reveal attitudes that characters have towards each other, however Rowling does not engage into evaluation of characters herself, thus, leaving the evaluation factor to the reader.
