Iezemiešu un angļu valodas savstarpējā mijiedarbība Kanādā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Iezemiešu un angļu valodas savstarpējā mijiedarbība Kanādā.” Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 40 lapaspusēm un 12 pielikumiem. Bakalaura darba tapšanas procesā tika izmantoti 18 literatūras avoti un 20 interneta avoti.

Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt kā iezemiešu valodas ir ietekmējušas Kanādas angļu valodas attīstību.

Pētījumā izmantotās metodes – izpētīt un izanalizēt pieejamo literatūru un publikācijas par valodas problēmām Kanādā, izpētīt angļu valodas attīstību Kanādā, atrast piemērus, kā Kanādas angļu valoda atšķiras no Britu un Amerikas angļu valodas un ar piemēru palīdzību pierādīt, ka iezemiešu valodas ir ietekmējušas Kanādas angļu valodas attīstību.

Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 3 nodaļām un 10 apakšnodaļām, kurās autore apraksta Kanādas lingvistisko situāciju, ieskatoties Kanādas vēsturē, kā arī Kanādas etnisko minoritāšu problēmās; pierāda iezemiešu valodas nozīmi Kanādas angļu valodas attīstībā, kā arī ar piemēru palīdzību parāda, Kanādas angļu valoda atšķiras no Amerikas un Britu angļu valodas.

Pētījuma rezultātā autore ir iepazinusies ar literatūru par Kanādu, apkopojusi rezultātus par iezemiešu un angļu valodas mijiedarbību Kanādā. Autore ir arī izstrādājusi piemērus tam, kā iezemiešu valoda ir ietekmējusi Kanādas angļu valodas attīstību un kā Kanādas angļu valoda atšķiras no Britu un Amerikas angļu valodas. Pētījums ir pierādījis, ka iezemiešu valodām ir būtiska nozīme Kanādas angļu valodas attīstībā.

The theme of the Bachelor Paper is “The Reciprocity of the English Language with the Indigenous Languages in Canada.” The paper contains 40 pages, 12 appendixes; 18 bibliography sources and 20 internet sources were used to make a research and to write the paper.

The aim of the research is to investigate how indigenous languages have influenced the development of the English language that is spoken in Canada.

The methods of research – the study and analysis of relevant literature and mass media materials on the topic, research of the development of Canadian English, examples of differences between British, American and Canadian English and examples of how the English language in Canada has been influenced by indigenous languages.

The outline of the Bachelor Paper: the paper contains three chapters and ten subchapters in which the author describes the linguistic situation in Canada, gives an insight into history of Canada, also into history of immigration and ethnic situation in Canada nowadays; shows the importance of indigenous languages in the development of the English Language in Canada; gives an examples how the indigenous languages as well as British and American English have influenced Canadian English.

As the result of the research, the author studied the literature and summarized the results of her study of the reciprocity of the English language with the indigenous languages in Canada and the relevant literature. The author has also given examples of how the English language in Canada has been influenced by indigenous languages and how Canadian English differs from American and British English. The process of research has shown that Indigenous languages play an important role in the development of the English language in Canada.
