Vārdu ievietošanas testu teorētiskais pamatojums valodas snieguma novērtēšanā

Abstract

Maģistra darbā iztirzāts vārdu ievietošanas testu pielietojums valodas snieguma novērtēšanā. Pētījuma merķis ir izanalizēt iespējas izmantot vārdu ievietošanas testus valodas snieguma novērtēšanā un noteikt to teorētisko pamatojumu. Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka pašreizējās tendences svešvalodu apmācībā un vērtēšanā, kuru uzmanības centrā ir komunikatīvā valodas vērtēšana. Maģistra darbā aprakstīti vārdu ievietošanas testu pielietojuma teorētiskie ietvari, kā arī izpētīti to teorētiska pamatojuma ceļi. Darba autore ir īstenojusi vārdu ievietošanas testa aprobāciju, un veikusi kvantitatīvu un kvalitatīvu pētījumu testa teorētiskā pamatojuma apstiprināšanai. Pētījuma rezultāti ļava secināt, ka vārdu ievietošanas tests ir pielietojams valodas snieguma novērtēšanā, ņemot vērā testa atsevišķo jautājumu raksturīgas īpašības. Iegūtie rezultāti apstiprina vārdu ievietošanas testu pielietojuma potenciālu valodas snieguma novērtēšanā, kā arī sagatavo augsni turpmākiem petījumiem šajā jomā.

The present Master Thesis deals with the use of cloze test as a means of assessing foreign language performance. The goal of the research is to analyse possible application of cloze test in foreign language performance assessment and define ways of its validation. The topicality of the issue is determined by the current trends in foreign language teaching and assessment with the focus on communicative language testing. The paper describes the theoretical rationale for the use of cloze tests in language assessment and studies ways of its validation. The author of the paper has piloted the administration of a cloze test in the foreign language classroom and carried out the procedure of its validation. The validity evidence was obtained by means of quantitative and qualitative research. The research has shown that cloze test is applicable to foreign language performance assessment if account is taken of individual item properties and responses. The obtained results confirm the potential provided by the use of cloze test as a means of foreign language performance assessment and prepare the ground for further research in the field.
