Arābu vienotība Palestīnas konfliktā

Abstract

Izraēlas un palestīniešu konflikts, kurš ilgst jau gandrīz simts gadus, nav atrisināts vēl joprojām. Atceroties pēdējo gadu asinsizliešanu daudzi palestīnieši apšauba Izraēlas Valsts tiesības pastāvēt. No otras puses Izraēlas iedzīvotāji nav gatavi atdot valsts piešķirtās teritorijas, apgalvojot, ka Palestīniešu pašpārvalde ir teroristu kontrolēta organizācija. Tie ir abu pušu galvenie argumenti, kuri rada grūtības konflikta atrisināšanā. Bakalaura darbā „Arābu vienotība palestīniešu konfliktā” autore pēta abu iesaistīto pušu veikto miera panākšanā. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek analizēta panarābisma teorētiskā bāze. Otrā nodaļa satur informāciju par konflikta vēsturisko attīstību – galvenokārt par divdesmitā gadsimta notikumiem. Trešajā un ceturtajā nodaļā tiek aprakstīta palestīniešu situācija, ASV iesaistīšanās, bet pēdējā nodaļa apskata nākotnes perspektīvas.

The conflict between Israel and Palestinians has lasted for approximately a hundred years and still hasn’t been resolved. Many Palestinians still doubt the right for Israel state to exist remembering bloodshed in the past. On the other hand many Israelis are not prepared to give up the territories belonging to the state, arguing that Palestinian Self-government is a terrorist controlled organization. These are the main arguments of both sides that determine the difficulty to resolve the conflict today. In her bachelor’s degree research paper BA thesis “Arab unity in Palestinian conflict” the author examines the process of peace making between the two counterparts. The analysis is based upon the theory of pan Arabism, which has been described in the first chapter. The second chapter contains information about the historical development of the conflict – mainly considering the events of the twentieth century. The chapters 3 and 4 describe the situation of Palestinians, U.S. involvement, and the final chapter describes the future perspectives.
