Promocijas darbs "Htoniskā pasaule latviešu folklorā: laiks un telpa" veltīts viena no nozīmīgākajiem fenomeniem - htoniskās telpas, laika, reprezentējošo būtņu: garu, dievību analīzei pamatā izmantojot latviešu pasaku tekstus. Pētījumā analizēta htoniskās pasaules uzbūve, balstoties laika un telpas aspektā, tādejādi izdalot būtiskāko attiecīgā femomena uzbūves mehānismu: telpisko un laika sistēmas. Uzbūves mehānisma ietvaros analizēta arī htoniskās pasaules formu daudzveidība: htoniskais kā pazemes pasaule, htoniskā mirušo valsts, tādejādi nonākot līdz folkloras pētniecībā attiecīgās tēmas ietvaros svarīgākajam jautājumam - htoniskās pasaules lokalizācijas vietām mītiskās pasaules ainā. Htoniskie elementi saskatāmi arī mūsdienu sabiedrībā - sākot no atsevišķām parādībām, līdz konkrētu, no pasaku motīviem aizgūtu (inicācija) parādību formā. Dissertation "Chtonical world in Latvian folklore: time and space" is dedicated to one of the most significant phenomena - Chtonical space, time and beings of representation: using Latvian fairy texts as a base on the analysis of spirits and deities. The study analyzes the structure of the chtonical world based on the aspect of space and time, thus extracting the essential in the design mechanism of the femomena: spatial and temporal system. In the means of design mechanism the diversity of the shape of chtonical world has also benn analysed: chtonical as the underground world, chtonical world of the dead, thus concluding to the most important question of folklore researn in the means of this theme - localization sites of chtonical world in the mythological worldview. Chtonical elements are also visible in today's society - from an individual phenomena to a specific, from the fairy-tale motifs borrowed (initiation) form of phenomena.
