Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīts konceptuālo metaforu lietojums rakstos par jauniem un maziem uzņēmumiem. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir identificēt, kā metaforas funkcionē rakstos par jauniem un maziem uzņēmumiem. Bakalaura darbā autors apskata metaforu veidus un konceptuālās metaforas, žurnālistikas žanru un rakstus par jauniem un maziem uzņēmumiem, kā arī Bakalaura analizē konceptuālās metaforas, kas izmantotas rakstos par jauniem un maziem uzņēmumiem divos tiešsaistes avotos. Izejot no praktiskās daļas pētījumiem, autors secina, ka metaforu skaits rakstos par jauniem un maziem uzņēmumiem ir atšķirīgs – dažos rakstos ir vairāk vārdu, bet mazāk metaforu, kamēr citos rakstos ir mazāk vārdu, bet vairāk metaforu. Bakalaura darbā tiek izmantotas sekojošas metodes: teoriju par konceptuālo metaforu, žurnālistikas žanru un jauniem un maziem uzņēmumiem analīze, biežuma analīze un diskursa analīze. The Bachelor Thesis investigates the use of conceptual metaphors in the articles on start-ups and small enterprises. The goal of the research paper is to identify how metaphors function in the articles on start-ups and small enterprises. In the Thesis the author discusses types of metaphors and conceptual metaphors, deals with the journalistic style and articles on start-ups and small enterprises, as well as analyses conceptual metaphors in the articles on start-ups and small enterprises published in two online sources. The empirical research allowed the author to conclude that the amount of metaphors in articles on start-ups and small enterprises varies – some articles have more words and fewer metaphors while other articles have fewer words and more metaphors. The applied research methods for the Bachelor Thesis are: the analysis of the relevant theories on conceptual metaphors, journalistic genre and small enterprises and start-ups, frequency analysis and discourse analysis.
