Ģimenes modelis Augusta Saulieša īsprozā: „Izmeklēti raksti” (1922)

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Ģimenes modelis Augusta Saulieša īsprozā: “Izmeklēti raksti” (1922)” mērķis ir izpētīt ģimenes modeli, kāds attēlots rakstnieka Augusta Saulieša (1869-1933) prozā un noskairdot, kā tas atbilst 19. gadsimta beigu un 20. gadsimta sākuma latviešu ģimenes modelim. Darbā sniegts ieskats Saulieša biogrāfijā, rastas atbildes uz jautājumiem, kāda loma rakstnieka prozā attēlotajā ģimenē ir tēvam, mātei un bērniem. Apskatīts jautājums par attiecībām saimē, kā arī par urbanizācijas un izglītības iespēju ietekmi uz ģimenes modeļa maiņu. Salīdzinot Saulieša darbus ar viņa laikabiedru (Jāņa Poruka un Rūdolfa Blaumaņa), kā arī ar neseno priekšgājēju (Brāļu Kaudzīšu un Apsīšu Jēkaba) darbiem konstatētas līdzības ģimenes modeļa atveidē. Analizējot Saulieša prozu, apstiprinās, ka tajā atspoguļotots patriarhāls ģimenes modelis.

The master paper “The Model of Family in Augusts Saulietis’ Collection of Short Prose ”Selected Writings” (1922)” aims to research the family model in the prose of Augusts Saulietis (1869-1933) and to understand how it relates to the Latvian family model at the end of the 19th Century and beginning of the 20th Century. In this work there is a look at the biography of Saulietis, then answers are found to questions concerning the kinds of roles that fathers, mothers, and children had in his works. There is also a look at how urbanization and greater chances to get an education changed the family model. Comparing Saulietis’ works to contemporaneous and previous generations’ authors, we find similarities in how the family model is shown. Analyzing Saulietis’ works proves that we can see a patriarchal family model.
