| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. This service industry needs information (text) about products as a key sales promotion tool – the product is not physical, you can only learn about it. As majority of information is a translation, correct translation paves path to success.
The aim of this research paper is to understand how to prepare this translation so it would not be just informational, but rather a marketable text. Research involved study of functionalist theory and tourism text peculiarities, as well as in-depth review of three main problems – adaptation of culture realia and proper names, as well as transfer of sales potential. As a result, first two problems were proved to be objectively solvable, while the third problem is the hardest to solve, because it is subjective. | en_US |
