Mode modernitātē: estētiskie un temporālie aspekti

Abstract

Darbā aplūkots apģērba modes fenomens un tā attīstība modernajā laikmetā. Modes un modernitātes ciešā saikne ļauj modi skatīt kā modernitātes pilnīgāko ekspresiju. Ņemot vērā modes uzmanību pret izskatu un skaistumu un galvenokārt pamatojoties uz tādu autoru kā Bodlēra, Barta, Zimmela un Malarmē koncepcijām, tiek pētītas modes skaistuma atklāšanas iespējas un estētiskas vērtības nozīmju radīšana. Respektējot apģērba modes piesaistītību ķermenim, darbā uzmanība tiek veltīta arī drēbēm un ķermeņa jautājumiem. Modes mainīgais raksturs un tās interese par laika modiem piedāvā modes temporālo aspektu pētīšanu. Modes temporalitātes aspektā būtiskākās ir Benjamina idejas par modi un laiku.

The paper deals with the phenomena of sartorial fashion and its development over the course of the modernity. Once the link between modernity and fashion is established, fashion is regarded as the utmost expression of modernity itself. Given fashion’s concern with appearance and beauty, the capacity of fashion to reveal beauty and create significations of aesthetic value are studied mainly through the concepts of Baudelaire, Barthes, Simmel and Mallarme. Taking into account the embodied experience of sartorial fashion, attention is paid to the bodily presence and clothing. The focus on temporality of fashion is based on the ever changing quality of fashion and its interest in temporal modes. The ideas of Benjamin on fashion and time provide the main theoretical basis for the understanding of temporal aspects of fashion.
