Otrās mājas un sezonālais apdzīvojums Vidzemes augstienes un Latgales pierobežas pagastos

Abstract

Maģistra darbs „Otrās mājas un sezonālais apdzīvojums Vidzemes augstienes un Latgales pierobežas pagastos” izstrādāts laika posmā no 2013. līdz 2015.gadam Latvijas Universitātes Ģeogrāfijas un Zemes zinātņu fakultātes Ģeogrāfijas nodaļā. Darba mērķis ir izveidot sezonālo iedzīvotāju raksturojumu un analizēt otro māju apdzīvojuma struktūru Vidzemes augstienes un Latgales pierobežas pagastos. Maģistra darbā tiek apskatīts otro māju, sezonālo iedzīvotāju un lauku jēdziens, apdzīvojums un apdzīvojuma struktūra, kā arī līdz šim veiktie pētījumi par sezonālo apdzīvojumu Eiropā un pasaulē. Darbā ir sniegts īss Vidzemes augstienes un Latgales pierobežas etalonteritorijas pagastu dabas un sociālekonomiskās situācijas raksturojums. Pētījumā tiek raksturoti no aptaujām iegūtie rezultāti par sezonālo iedzīvotāju pastāvīgo dzīvesvietu, nodarbošanos, kā arī viņu paradumi attiecībā uz otro māju izmantošanu, saimniecības lielumu un apkārtējās teritorijas novērtējumu. Noslēgumā abas etalonteritorijas tiek salīdzinātas savā starpā, un iegūtie rezultāti analizēti ar citiem līdz šim veiktajiem otro māju un sezonālā apdzīvojuma pētījumiem. Maģistra darbs sastāv no ievada, anotācijas latviešu un angļu valodā, 5 nodaļām, secinājumiem, literatūras saraksta un pielikumiem. Darbu papildina autores veidotās tabulas, grafiki, kartogrāfiskie materiāli un fotogrāfijas.

The Master’s work „Second home and seasonal settlement in parishes of Vidzeme upland and Latgale borderland” has been written during the period from 2013 to 2015 in the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences in the University of Latvia. The aim of this work is to develop a characteristics of seasonal population and analyse second home settlement structure in parishes of Vidzeme upland and Latgale borderland. In the Master’s work, the author reviews the concept of second home, seasonal population and rural areas, describes settlement and settlement structure, and analyses previous studies in Europe and the world. The thesis contains a brief description of study areas, parishes in Vidzeme upland and Latgale borderland, in terms of geographical conditions and physical and socio-economic geography. Afterwards, the author describes the obtained results from surveys regarding the permanent place of residence of the seasonal population, employment, and their behaviour in relation to usage of the second home, household size and the assessment of surrounding areas. In conclusion, both study areas are compared, and the results are then discussed in terms of previous studies in second home and seasonal settlement area. The Master’s work consists of introduction, annotation in Latvian and English, 5 chapters, conclusions, list of references and appendixes. The work is complemented with tables, charts, cartographic materials and photos made by the author.
