| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The title of thesis is „Characters with Japanese Origin and their Connection with
Japanese Culture”. Characters came to Japan from China, because that time, Japanese did not have their own writing system. These Characters are divided in two groups – ones that came from China, and those that were made in Japan, since there were things that did not exist in China –that is why Japanese needed to develop their own characters. Character consists from parts called “radicals”. Every radical has a meaning, and by combining them together, the whole character can be made. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze radicals of Japanese origin, to find their connection with Japanese culture, and conclude how important they are and what is their future. Theoretical part of this thesis contains 40 pages. During the research, the connection between kokuji and Japanese culture was established, but there were few examples that did not have any meaning as such, and they were created just to represent phonetic function. That is why there cannot be said that all of kokuji necessarily have a connection with Japanese culture. Also it have been concluded, that despite the fact that there is sufficient number of kokuji, they are not widely used, that is why their future is not particularly promising. | en_US |
