Stāstu izmantošana runāšanas prasmju attīstīšanā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Stāstu izmantošana runāšanas prasmju attīstīšanā” Darbs veltīts mācīšanas metodēm un aktivitātēm, kas ar stāstījumu palīdzību veicina runāšanas prasmju attīstību. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai skolēni ar stāstījumu palīdzību var attīstīt savas runāšanas prasmes. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no divām daļām. Pirmā daļa veltīta teorijas diskusijai, kas sastāv no trim nodaļām. Pirmā nodaļa veltīta diskusijai par valodas attīstību, tās apguvi, kā arī metodēm un veidiem, kā iespējams mācīt valodu skolēniem. Otrā nodaļa attiecas uz runāšanas prasmēm, to mācīšanas un novērtēšanas teoriju izpēti. Savukārt trešā nodaļa veltīta stāstu un stāstījumu izmantošanai angļu valodas kā svešvalodas nodarbībās un to nozīmi valodas apguvē. Darba otrā jeb empīriskā daļa apraksta eksperimentālo mācību un tās rezultātus. Lai sasniegtu vēlamos rezultātus, tika izmantota triangulācijas metode, analizējot kvalitatīvos un kvantitatīvos datus, kuru apkopotie rezultāti pierāda darbā izvirzīto hipotēzi, ka stāstu izmantošana ir effektīvs veids, lai attīstītu runāšanas prasmes.

The topic of the Bachelor Thesis is ‘Use of Stories in Development of Speaking Skills’. This paper is a survey of teaching methods and activities that include stories and storytelling. The goal of this paper is to investigate the possible ways and means of developing the speaking skills with the use of stories and storytelling. It researches if the use of stories and storytelling can affect learners’ speaking skills. The methods used in the Bachelor Thesis are theoretical literature review and a case study. The first chapter of the Bachelor Thesis deals with the discussion of language skills and competences, the ways and methods of how languages can be taught. The second chapter is devoted to the peculiarities of speaking skills. The third chapter presents a discussion of the theory of stories and storytelling as one of the methods for practising English language speaking skills. The last section of the Bachelor Thesis is the empirical part (a case study). The triangulation was applied to gather the data of the empirical part. The author of the present study has come to the conclusion that the use of stories and storytelling can be an effective way of developing learners’ speaking skills.
