| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The topic of this master’s thesis is quality assurance during translation process. The author considers this question as very topical, because there are many translation agencies in Latvia and the quality of translations provided by them is not regulated according to any approved translation service quality standards, but rapidly growing international translation industry pays more attention to quality of translation.
The author’s aim was to prove quality assurance plays great role in translation projects and with the help of the survey to examine the work models of translation agencies in Latvia. Summing up the data received during the development of the thesis, the author became convinced that the majority of translation agencies that took part in the survey are not using quality standards developed by the European Union and quality assurance software and rely only on their own internal quality standards. | en_US |
