Sertificētu tulkotāju institūta attīstības perspektīva Latvijā

Abstract

Maģistra darbs “Sertificētu tulkotāju institūta attīstības perspektīva Latvijā” izstrādāts, lai argumentētu, kādēļ Latvijā būtu ieviešams sertificēta tulkotāja institūts. Pētījuma mērķi ir: identificēt juridisku un oficiālu tekstu tulkotājam nepieciešamās prasmes; pamatot, kādēļ šībrīža situācijā ir apgrūtināta iespēja pārliecināties par šo prasmju esamību; izpētīt sertificēta tulkotāja institūtu ārvalstīs; balstoties uz iegūtajiem rezultātiem, rekomendēt sertificēta tulkotāja institūta ieviešanu Latvijā; izvērtēt iespējamo šāda institūta izveides ietekmi uz tulkotājiem, tulkošanas pakalpojumu saņēmējiem un tulkošanas tirgu. Darba gaitā autors identificē valsts sertificētu tulkotāja institūtu kā optimālu pastāvošo problēmu risinājumu, kas atbilst tulkojumzinātnes pētnieku teorētiskajām nostādnēm.

The present Master thesis is an argument in favour of establishing the institute of certified translator in Latvia. The aims of the study are as follows: to identify the skills necessary for legal and official translations; show why, in the present situation, there are encumbrances to verifying the existence of these skills; study the implementation of certified translator’s institute abroad; use the results as an argument in favour of implementing the institute of state certified translator in Latvia; predict and evaluate the possible impact of creating such an institute on translators, translation customers and the translation market. In the stufy, the author identifies the institute of certified translator as an optimal solution to the problems observed, in line with the theoretical observations of translation scholars.
