Valodas aizsardzības metožu lietojums Somijas sāmu valodu saglabāšanai

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Valodas aizsardzības lietojums Somijas sāmu valodas saglabāšanai” veltīts valodu aizsardzības metožu izpētei pasaulē, kā arī to lietojuma pārskats Somijā, sāmu valodu saglabāšanas kontekstā. Darbā atspoguļots vispārīgs raksturojums par sāmu valodām, to attīstību un klāt esamību Somijā. Tāpat aprakstīta valodu aizsardzība un populārāko aizsardzības metožu raksturojums, un tikusi analizēta šo metožu lietojuma vēsture un novērtēts to lietderīgums. Noslēgumā sniegti ieteikumi, kā pilnveidot pašlaik izmantotās metodes, cenšoties nodrošināt sāmu valodu ilgtspēju un attīstību Somijā.

The Bachelor’s thesis “Usage of Language Protection Methods Preserving the Sami Language in Finland” is dedicated to research of various methods of language protection throughout the world and an overview of their usage in Finland, within the context of protecting the Saami languages. The paper is composed of the overview of the various Sami languages, their development and availability in Finland. Similarly the thesis examines the most popular methods of language protection as well as historical use the aforementioned language protection methods are reviewed as well as the usefulness of their implementation. The thesis is concluded with a proposal of how to improve the current situation in Finland through the usage of these methods, to ensure durability and development of Saami languages.
