Priekšstati par amuletu latviešu tradicionālajā un mūsdienu folklorā

Abstract

Darbs “Priekšstati par amuletu latviešu tradīcijā un mūsdienās” veltīts līdz šim maz pētītai tēmai latviešu folkloristikā. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt amuleta atspoguļojumu folkloras tekstos un arheoloģiskajos materiālos un salīdzināt tā nozīmi mūsdienu sabiedrībā un tradicionālajos priekšstatos. Izstrādāts pētījums par mūsdienu latviešu priekšstatiem par amuletu, tā funkcijām, iegūšanu, izmantošanu, kas salīdzināts ar folkloras tekstiem un Latvijas teritorijā atrastajiem arheoloģiskajiem materiāliem. Iegūts raksturojums, kāda ir senā un mūsdienu cilvēka attieksme pret amuletu, izmantojot kontekstuālo un strukturālisma metodi.

The work "Image of the Amulet in Latvian Traditional and Contemporary Folklore" is dedicated to a yet little studied theme in Latvian folklore. The purpose of this thesis is to research reflections of amulets in folklore texts alongside archeological evidence, and compare their significance in our modern society and traditional notions. Research was developed about present day Latvia's understanding of amulets, their functions, acquisition, and utilization, which was then compared with folklore texts and archeological evidence found in Latvia's territory. Samplings were taken of historical and modern people's attitudes towards amulets, by using methods of context and structuralism.
