Slenga tulkošanas aspekti televīzijas seriālos

Abstract

Maģistra darbā ir apskatīts un analizēts slenga lietojums un tulkojums televīzijas seriālos. Darba mērķis ir apzināt slenga tulkošanas aspektus un problēmas, kā arī analizēt televīzijas seriālā “Modern Family” lietotos slengismus un to tulkojumus, lai noteiktu, kas jāievēro, tulkojot slenga vārdus televīzijas seriālos. Darbā ņemta vērā audiovizuālo tekstu tulkošanas specifika. Pētījuma teorētiskajā daļā aplūkota tulkošanas definīcija, kā arī aprakstīta audiovizuālo tekstu tulkošana kā atsevišķs tulkojumzinātnes paveids. Būtiska uzmanība veltīta slenga jēdziena un tā raksturiezīmju izpētei. Savukārt darba praktiskajā daļā analizēti seriālā “Modern Family” lietotie slenga piemēri un to tulkojums, kā arī veiktas intervijas ar tulkošanas praktiķiem.

This master thesis focuses on the analysis of slang usage and its translation in television series. The goal of this paper is to identify the aspects and problems of slang translation, as well as to analyse the usage of slang and its translation in television series called “Modern Family”. The specifics of audiovisual text translation have been also regarded. The theoretical part of this thesis covers the definition of translation. Audiovisual text translation as a separate field of translation studies has been analysed. Great part of this work focuses on the concept of slang and its characteristics. The practical section of this paper analyses the slang and its translation in television series “Modern Family”. Also interviews with proffesional translators have been conducted.
