Latvijas delegācijas darbība Parīzes miera konferencē 1919.gada janvāris-decembris

Abstract

Maģistra darba „Latvijas delegācijas darbība Parīzes miera konferencē 1919. gada janvāris – decembris” mērķis ir izdalīt un analizēt galvenos Latvijas delegācijas darbības virzienus un konstatēt sasniegtos rezultātus miera konferences ietvaros, izvērtējot to atbilstību sākotnēji uzstādītajiem delegācijas darba uzdevumiem. Delegācijas darbība līdz šim vērtēta saistībā ar Latvijas neatkarības starptautisko atzīšanu, kas konferences laikā netika saņemta. Paralēli galvenā mērķa sasniegšanai, Latvijas delegācija nodrošināja arī informācijas izplatīšanu par Latviju, veidojot Latvijas pārstāvniecību tīklu pasaulē. Latvijas delegāti iestājās arī par aizdevuma izgādāšanu Latvijai, vienlaikus uzsākot sadarbību arī ar citām jaunajām valstīm, kopīgi pārstāvot reģiona intereses.

The aim of the Master’s thesis „Activities of the Latvian Delegation in the Paris Peace Conference: January – December of 1919” is to distribute and analyze main directions of action of the Latvian delegation and to realize achieved results in the framework of Paris Peace Conference by evaluating the adequacy of results to the objectives of delegation. So far activities of delegation have been assessed in the context of the recognition of the independence of Latvia, which was not received during the conference. In addition of the main aim Latvian delegation also ensured distribution of informative materials about Latvia and created first network of Latvian legations in the world. Latvian delegates insisted to receive loan for Latvia and at the same time started cooperation with delegates from other new countries to represent the common interests of the region.
