Epistēmiskā objektivitāte žurnālistikas diskursā”: Āfrikas bēgļu Itālijā problēmas atainojums laikrakstā “Corriere della Sera” (2013-2015)

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts epistēmiskās objektivitātes un epistēmiskās modalitātes žurnālistikas diskursā jautājuma apskatei itāļu laikrakstā "Corriere della Sera". Laika posms, kura ietvaros tiek pētīta epistēmisko modalitāti izsakošo valodas līdzekļu klātesamība avīzes rakstos, ir divu gadu - 2013 – 2015 - periods. Īpaša uzmanība darbā tiek vērsta uz modālo darbības vārdu (potere/varēt; dovere/vajadzēt) to dažādās gramatiskajās izteiksmēs izpēti un lietojuma analīzi. Darba galvenais mērķis ir hipotēzes "Modālo darbības vārdu ar epistēmisko vērtību, kas izmantoti, lai izteiktu epistēmisko objektivitāti žurnālistikas diskursā par Āfrikas bēgļiem Itālijā, lietojuma laikrakstā "Corriere della Sera" sastopamības biežums ir zems", pārbaude. Teorētisko darba materiālu līdzās grāmatām par valodniecību veido raksti un publikācijas par šo jomu. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka modālie darbības vārdi apgalvojumam piešķir dažādas jēgas nokrāsas; pētāmajā laikrakstā modālo darbības vārdu varēt un vajadzēt ar izteiktu epsitēmisku vērtību lietojuma sastopamība ir zema. Prevalē evidencialitāti izsakošu formu, kā arī deontikās un alētiskās modalitātes kategoriju lietojums, jo tās vairāk atbilst valodas lietojuma un stila kanoniem žurnālistikā.

The main discussion in this paper is devoted to the question of the epistemic objectivity and the use of the epistemic modality in journalistic discourse in Italian language expressed by the modal verbs (potere/can; dovere/must, have to) in the indicative, subjunctive and conditional moods. The research analyzes the use of the epistemic modality expressed by the above-mentioned modal verbs and grammatical moods in the Italian newspaper's "Corriere della sera" articles within a two year - 2013 – 2015 - period of time. The main objective of the work is to verify the proposed hypothesis "The number of cases of the use of modal verbs with an epistemic value expressing the epistemic objectivity in journalistic discourse about the African refugees in Italy in the newspaper "Corriere della Sera", is low". The theoretical material is taken not only from the books about language and linguistics but also from the other sources, like articles and publications in paper and digital format. The results of the analysis inicate that modal verbs help to apply different levels of meaning to the statement. The number of cases of the modal verbs potere/can and dovere/must that are used with pure epistemic value in the articles of the examined newspaper are low. More frequent is the use of the forms, a) whose epistemic force is not so strong and b) which hold other modal value. These forms are more likely to comply with the language use and style canons in the journalistic discourse.
