Seksuālo minoritāšu un transpersonu segregācija un integrācija mūsdienu Japānā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs ‘’Seksuālo minoritāšu un transpersonu segregācija un integrācija mūsdienu Japānā’’ dod ieskatu par to, kādos veidos seksuālās minoritātes un transpersonas tiek atdalītas no pārējās Japānas patriarhālās, konservatīvi noskaņotās, heteronormatīvās un dzimumnormatīvās sabiedrības, tajā pašā laikā parādot, ka, neskatoties uz šo nostāju, seksuālās minoritātes un transpersonas atrod veidus, kā iekļauties jeb integrēties sabiedrībā, kas ir vērsta uz grupas mentalitāti un asimilāciju. Darba tēma ir aktuāla, jo kopš 21.gs, daudzviet pasaulē (ieskaitot Japānu), LGBT kustība guvusi panākumus. Japānā ļoti liela nozīme ir tradīcijai, kura savukārt ietekmē attieksmi, ar kādu izturas pret seksuālajām minoritātēm un transpersonām, kā arī likumdošanu, kuru ir sarežģīti mainīt, lai panāktu pozitīvu ietekmi uz minētajām sabiedrības grupām. Turklāt, darbā arī ir pieminēta arī Rietumu ietekme uz LGBT kopienu Japānā. Bakalaura darbā padziļināta uzmanība pievērsta jautājumiem par vardarbību pret seksuālajām minoritātēm un transpersonām, viendzimuma partnerattiecībām un laulībām kā arī seksuālo minoritāšu un transpersonu atspoguļojumam un ietekmei medijos, popkultūrā un izklaides industrijā.

This bachelor's thesis, titled ''Segregation and Integration of Sexual Minorities and Trans Persons in Contemporary Japan'', gives insight into the ways in which sexual minorities and trans persons are detached from the rest of the patriarchal, conservative, heteronormative and gender-normative society of Japan, while simultaneously showing that, despite this approach, sexual minorities and trans persons find ways in which they can be included and integrated into a society which is focused on a group mentality and assimilation. The subject of this thesis is timely, because the LGBT movement has received many accomplishments in several parts of the world (including Japan) since the 21st century. Tradition is valued as extremely important in Japan, whereas it also influences the attitude which affects how sexual minorities and trans persons are treated, as well as the legislaton which is difficult to change in order to achieve positive influence on the said social groups. Morever, the western influence on the LGBT community in Japan is also mentioned in this thesis. This bachelor's thesis gives thorough attention to questions concerning violence against sexual minorities and trans persons, same-sex partnership and marriage as well as the representation and influence of sexual minorities and trans persons in the media, pop culture and entertainment industry.
