Darbs sastāv no piecām daļām. Darba apjoms 42 lpp. The theme of this research is ‘Formation of Sui as centralized empire and influence upon the prosperity of Tang dynasty’. Sui was one of the shortest dynasty period, which lasted for thirty-seven years. This dynasty is significant in terms of the events that took place during that time and its rapid changes. According to many recognizable sinologist’s beliefs, it has put remarkable impact on the further development of China. The purpose of this work is to examine the impact and the consequences on the Tan dynasty period that followed after Sui dynasty. Therefore, Sui and Tang dynasty has been analyzed alongside with the impact of the reign of such imperators as Jandi and Vendi. The research also examines Victor Cunrei Xiong and Arthur F. Wright books and views on the Sui dynasty. Comparisons have been made, and the following conclusions have been drawn. The research showed that the Sui dynasty not only made a prominent influence on the economy, significant improvements in military technology and culture, but it also established a good rapport for the start of the Tang dynasty. The aims of the research were also to investigate Sui dynasty economic and political changes, and draw connections with the Tang dynasty. The reasons why the Sui dynasty existed for such a short period of time were also analyzed. It is concluded that, despite the successful beginning of the dynasty in the guidance of emperor Vendi, the further emperor Jandi could not establish himself as being able to successfully rule and control the dynasty; his reign led to chaos, rebellion that eventually caused his own death. The paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter deals with the history of Sui dynasty. The economic and political situation before the establishment, the Sui dynasty itself and its failures have been investigated. The second chapter is dedicated to the emperor Jandi and Vendi. The biographies of the emperors, their goals and the impact they had made on the dynasties have been reviewed. The possible reasons for Jandi death have been clarified. The third chapter consists of a review of the Tang dynasty. The fourth and fifth chapters discuss the opinions and ratings of such authors as Arthur F. Wright and Victor Cunrei Xiong. The comparisons and differences between the views of these sinologist’s have been made. The volume of the research: 42 pages.
