Finanšu nozares terminoloģijas izpēte IATE datubāzes papildināšanai
Abstract
Maģistra darba „Finanšu nozares terminoloģijas izpēte IATE datubāzes papildināšanai” mērķis ir apskatīt teoriju attiecībā uz terminoloģiju, standartizācijas lietderību terminoloģijā un aizguvumus finanšu nozares terminoloģijā, kā arī veikt terminoloģijas darbu attiecībā uz finanšu nozares terminoloģiju. Maģistra darbu veido četras nodaļas. Pirmajā nodaļā ir iztirzāta terminoloģijas loma tulkotāju darbā, terminoloģijas darbs un terminoloģijas lietotāji. Otrajā nodaļā ir apskatīta speciālā lietojuma valoda un finanšu nozares terminoloģija, kā arī finanšu nozares terminoloģijas valodnieciskās īpatnības. Trešajā nodaļā ir ietverta informācija par terminoloģijas standartizāciju, tās aspektiem Eiropas Savienībā un Latvijā. Ceturtā nodaļa ir praktiskā daļa, kurā ir analizēts finanšu nozares jomā paveiktais terminoloģijas darbs IATE datubāzes papildināšanai. Maģistra darba rezultāti var būt noderīgi ES tulkotājiem, kā arī ikvienam, kura ikdienas darbs ir saistīts ar terminoloģiju un finanšu nozari. The aim of the master thesis “Research of financial terminology for IATE database” is to review theoretical sources on terminology, usefulness of standardization in terminology and borrowings in financial terminology, as well as perform terminology work regarding financial terminology. The thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter discusses the role of terminology in translators’ work, as well as terminology work and terminology users. The second chapter reviews language for special purposes (LSP), addressing financial terminology as pertaining to LSP, as well as discusses linguistic peculiarities of financial terminology. The third chapter contains information on terminology standardization, its aspects in the European Union and Latvia. The fourth chapter is a practical part containing analysis of terminology work in the field of finances for IATE database. The findings of the master thesis may be useful to the EU translators, as well as everyone who is employed in the field of terminology or finances.
