Pētījums par vārdu krājuma izveidi un tulkošanu skaistumkopšanas jomā latviešu valodā

Abstract

Maģistra darba temats ir „Pētījums par vārdu krājuma izveidi un tulkošanu skaistumkopšanas jomā latviešu valodā”. Pēc iepazīšanās ar dažādiem vārddarināšanas paņēmieniem, kā arī pēc teorētisko avotu, kas saistīti ar latviešu valodas terminoloģijas izstrādi, un angļu valodas terminu atveides īpatnībām, izpētes, autore praktiskās darba daļas ietvaros analizē dažādu laika posmu žurnālu izdevumos sastopamos, ar skaistumkopšanas nozari saistītos terminus. Darba ietvaros pētīti sieviešu auditorijai domātie žurnālu izdevumi no 1926. gada līdz mūsdienām, kā arī vairākas, ar skaistumkopšanas jomu saistītas grāmatas. Maģistra darba izstrādē izmantotas dažādas metodes – vēsturiskā metode, salīdzinošā metode, kā arī analizējošā metode. Pētot terminus, galvenā uzmanība pievērsta terminu veidošanās procesam, to izcelsmei un atveidei. Maģistra darba pētījuma rezultātā autore secina, ka terminu atveidošanas paņēmieni un jaunu terminu radīšanas metodes atkarīgas no katra laika posma tendencēm, kā arī no skaistumkopšanas jomas popularitātes konkrētajā laika posmā.

The subject of Master’s Thesis is „Research on the Development and Translation of Vocabulary in the Field of Beautification in Latvian”. After a theoretical research on different word formation methods, and the ground rules of term creation, and translation peculiarities of English terms, practical part contains analysis of beautification terms that have been found in various women's magazines issued in different periods of time. The research mainly focuses on magazines issued from year 1926 until nowadays, as well as on several beautification-related books. The author used historical method, comparative method and data analysis method. In the process of the research, main attention has been paid to the origin, structure and rendering of terms. The performed research in the scope of Master’s Thesis allows drawing conclusions that methods for rendering terms and creating new terms depend on the tendencies of each period and popularity of beauty care during the relevant period.
