Ekonomikas nozares diskursā lietojamā profesionālā valoda

Abstract

Šajā darbā ir adresēts jautājums par ekonomikas nozares diskursā lietojamo profesionālo valodu. Pētījuma mērķis bija iepazīt profesionālā žargona esošās tendences Swedbank gada pārskatā, analizējot to no valodniecības un pragmatikas zinātnes viedokļa. Lai veiktu analīzi, kvalitatīvā metode un izvēlēti elementi no kvantitatīvās metodes tika izmantoti. Iegūtie dati norāda, ka profesionālais žargons ir atrodams Swedbank gada pārskatā. No valodniecības zinātnes analīzes viedokļa, visbiežāk pielietotās nozīmes veids ir konteksta nozīme, un visplašāk pielietotā leksiskā vienība ir vārdkopa. Kas attiecas uz analīzi no pragmatikas zinātnes viedokļa, komunikatīvais notikums ir raksturots kā gada kopsapulce, kur gada pārskats tiek prezentēts akcionāriem, un jebkāds notikums, kurā gada pārskats ir pieejams plašākai sabiedrībai. Komunikatīvais mērķis ir sniegt pārskatu par Swedbank finanšu rezultātiem un finanšu stāvokli 2015. gada beigās. Turklāt, profesionālais žargons kā valodniecības īpašība ir pielietots gada pārskatā, pamatojoties uz noteikto komunikatīvo notikumu un komunikatīvo mērķi.

The present research addresses the issue of professional language in discourse of economics. The aim of this research was to investigate the existing tendencies of professional jargon in the Swedbank’s Annual Report from the level of linguistic and pragmatic analysis. In order to conduct the analysis, qualitative research perspective and selected elements of quantitative research perspective were applied. The research findings reveal that professional jargon is evident in the Swedbank’s Annual Report. From the perspective of the linguistic analysis, the most frequently applied type of meaning is the contextual meaning; and the most widely applied lexical item is collocation. As regards the pragmatic level analysis, the communicative event is characterized as the Annual General Meeting of Swedbank where the Annual Report is presented to the shareholders, and any event in which the report is provided to the general public. The communicative purpose is to report on the financial results and the financial position of Swedbank at the end of the year 2015. In addition, professional jargon as a linguistic quality is employed by the Annual Report on the grounds of the communicative event and communicative purpose established.
