Ar vēsturi saistītu tekstu tulkošanas īpatnības

Abstract

Katrai valstij ir sava, unikāla, vēsture. Faktiski, jebkāds notikums, kas ir noticis kaut iepriekšējā dienā, var tikt uzskatīts par vēsturi. Šis maģistra darbs ir par vēstures tēmu, jeb, precīzāk, tēma ir ar vēsturi saistītu tekstu tulkošanas īpatnības. Maģistra darba mērķis bija noskaidrot un analizēt dažus šāda veida tekstu aspektus, kā, piemēram, kultūras reālijas, kas tos atšķir no citiem tekstiem. Lai to paveiktu, tika izvēlēta grāmata, kurā ir izklāstīta Anglijas, Skotijas, Velsas, Ziemeļīrijas un Īrijas vēsture. Darba analīzei izvēlētā pētniecības metode ir diskursa analīze. Ar šīs metodes palīdzību veiksmīgi tika sasniegts darba mērķis. Analīze atklāj, ka šāda veida tekstos lielā daudzumā sastopamas kultūras reālijas un specifiski īpašvārdi.

Every country has its own, unique, history. Technically, any event that took place even yesterday, can be considered history. The present master's paper is about history, or specifically, peculiarities of history related text translation. The purpose of the present master's paper was to discover and analyse certain aspects, such as culture realia, of this type of text and how it differs from other text types. To achieve this goal, a book about the history of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland was selected. In order to perform the analysis, the research method selected was discourse analysis. By using this method the purpose of the present master's paper was achieved. The analysis shows that this type of book contain large numbers of culture realia and specific proper nouns.
