Dziesmu un deju svētku tradīcija Latvijas PSR kultūrpolitikā (1940.g.beigas-1950.g.vidus)

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir parādīt Dziesmu un deju svētku tradīcijas vietu Latvijas PSR kultūrpolitikā triju svētku laikā, kas ir notikuši 1948., 1950., 1955. gadā. Darbā tiek dots pārskats par pētāmā laika posma kultūrpolitikas īpatnībām Latvijas PSR un kā tā ietekmēja Dziesmu svētku tradīciju. Darbā tiek apskatīta Latvijas PSR situācija staļinisma laikā, galveno politisko un kultūras organizāciju darbībā. Kā kultūrpolitika ietekmēja šo organizāciju darbību. Apskatot par konkrētu piemēru ņemot Dziesmu un deju svētkus, tās tradīcijas īstenošanu Latvijas PSR kultūrpolitikas apstākļos – kā tie tika organizēti, un kā šīs īpatnības izpaudās. Neskatoties uz to, ka Latvija bija pakļauta padomju iekārtai, Dziesmu un deju svētku tradīcijai bija ievērojama loma šajā laikā, jo kultūrpolitika no vienas puses uzturēja padomju ideoloģiju, un darīja visu, lai tie tiktu sovjetizēti, bet no otras puses cilvēki netiešā veidā varēja caur Dziesmu svētkiem uzturēt savu nacionālo identitāti.

The objective of this work is to show the place Song and Dance Festival traditions took in the cultural policy of the Latvian SSR during the time of the festivals held in 1948, 1950, and 1955. The work gives the survey of the Latvian SSR cultural policy peculiarities of the period under consideration and how they influenced Song and Dance Festival traditions. The author gives the overview about Stalinism time situation in the Latvian SSR, main political and cultural activities and how the cultural policy influenced the organization of the work. To examine the Song and Dance Festival as an example the work provides information how the traditions were realized in the Latvian SSR within the framework of the cultural policy of that time – how the work was organized and what the peculiarities where. In spite of the fact that Latvia was under the Soviet power, Song and Dance Festivals played the important role those days, though the cultural policy supported the soviet ideology and did everything for sovietization on one hand and on the other hand the people could express and support their national identity through the Song and Dance Festivals.
