Sievietes Latvijas inteliģencē: Latvijas Universitātes studenšu sociālais portrets 1919-1920

Abstract

Darbā sākotnēji aplūkota sieviešu loma un vieta sabiedrībā, kā arī izglītības iespējas līdz Latvijas izveidošanai. Tālāk tiks veikta 1919. – 1920.akad.m.g. studiju uzsākušo sieviešu raksturojuma no sociālā aspekta analīze un studiju procesa raksturojums, kas tiek izvirzīts par darba mērķi. Mērķa sasniegšanai tiks aplūkoti LU studenšu personīgās lietas, uzmanību veltot tādiem aspektiem kā tautība, vecums, sociālā izcelsme, izglītības pieredze, kā arī tiks raksturota sieviešu studiju izvēle, sarežģījumi studiju procesā, kā arī tiks novērtēta LU studenšu loma sieviešu inteliģences nostiprināšanā. Secinājumos tiek parādīts, ka sievietes centās pilntiesīgi izmantot Latvijas sniegtās demokrātiskās tiesības, aktualizēja sieviešu līdztiesības jautājumu, veica nozīmīgu sabiedrisku darbu, kā arī veicināja saimniecisko, kultūras un zinātnes jomu attīstību.

The essence of the research is to have a closer look at the women’s role in the society, possibilities of education in the early years of the 20th centuury. Further, in the process of the researc the author will analyse social portrait of students and the characterization of the studying process as stated in the aim of the research. The author will analyse files of the students of University of latvia, particulary observing such aspects as nationality, age, social origin, educational experience, the choices of study program and complications in the process of studies. In conclusions the author shows that women were trying to use democratic rights of Latvia, making topical the developing question of the equlity of women, as well as played a significant role in developing culture, science and economy.
