V.Maldoņa darbība Latvijas evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīcā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Voldemāra Maldoņa darbība Latvijas evaņģēliski luteriskajā baznīcā” mērķis ir izpētīt mācītāja Voldemāra Maldoņa darbību un tās ietekmi Latvijas evaņģēliski luteriskajā baznīcā, kas balstās uz viņa sabiedrisko darbu latviešu tautas labā un teoloģiskajos uzskatos. Darbā apskatīta V. Maldoņa dzīve un paveiktais sabiedriskais darbs līdz 1909. gadam, kad viņš kļuva par praktizējošu mācītāju. Sniegts vispārējs teorētisks ieskats par to, ko nozīmē būt latviešu mācītājam 19. gs. un kāda ir baznīcas struktūra un sadzīve šajā laikā Latvijas teritorijā. Tad detalizēti tiek apskatīta V. Maldoņa darbība Lubānas un Cēsu draudzē, kā arī Latvijas evaņģēliski luteriskās baznīcas pārvaldes izveidē. Pēdējā nodaļā apskatīta LU Teoloģijas fakultātes izveide un V. Maldoņa paustās pamatnostādnes un nozīmīgākie zinātniskie darbi teoloģijā. Pētījumā secināts, ka V. Maldonis bija nozīmīga sava laika personība, kurš kalpoja ne tikai draudzei, bet veicināja sabiedrības labklājību kopumā. Viņš bija daļa no sabiedriski aktīvākās latviešu inteliģences, kuriem iespēju izpausties, veicināt un realizēt savas idejas, sniedza mainīgais laikmets un politiskā situācija Eiropā un Krievijas impērijā kopumā 19. un 20. gs. mijā.

Bachelor paper “The contribution of Volemārs Maldonis in The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church” goal is to research the actions of the priest Voldemārs Maldonis and his impact on The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church, based on his social work for the Latvian nation and his theological beliefs. The paper describes the life of V. Maldonis and the social work that he has done until 1909 when he became a practicing priest. Given the general theoretical insight into what it means to be a priest in Latvia in the 19th century and what is the structure of church and social life at that time in the territory of Latvia. Than in detail viewed the action of V. Maldonis in the parish of Cēsis and Lubāna, as well as the formation of administration at The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church. The last chapter deals with establishment of the University of Latvia, Faculty of Theology and V. Maldonis guidelines and most important scientific works in theology. The research concludes that V. Maldonis was an important personality a that time, who served not just to the parish but also, contributed to the well-being of society as a whole. He was a part of socially active Latvian intelligence, which possibility to express, promote and implement their ideas provided the changing era and the political situation in Europe and in the Russian empire in the 19th and at the turn of the 20th century.
