Krāpniecības apzīmējumu etimoloģiskā analīze

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta krāpniecību apzīmējošo terminu izcelsme angļu valodā. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt ar krāpniecību saistīto terminu veidošanos un izcelsmi, lai atklātu vispārīgās tendences juridiskās terminoloģijas attīstībā. Darbā izmantotās pētniecības metodes iekļauj valodas pārmaiņu, juridiskās angļu valodas attīstības vēstures, krāpniecības vēstures un veidu izpēti, kā arī izvēlēto terminu analīzi pielietojot kvantitatīvo un kvalitatīvo metožu apvienojumu. Pētījuma teorētiskajā daļā raksturota vēsturiskās lingvistikas un etimoloģijas nozare, krāpniecība un juridiskā terminoloģija un tās attīstība. Pētījums aptver trīsdesmit krāpniecību apzīmējošus terminus, kuriem analizēta to etimoloģiskā izcelsme. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka lielākā daļa no terminiem ir cēlušies no Latīņu valodas, apstiprinot izvirzīto hipotēzi.

The present Bachelor thesis investigates the origin of terms designating fraud in the English language. The aim of the research is to examine the origin and formation of fraud related terms in order to reveal general trends in the development of legal terminology. The research methods include the study of language change, history of the development of legal English and fraud, and the analysis of terms related to fraud by applying explanatory sequential mixed method. The theoretical part presents background information of historic linguistics, etymology, fraud and legal terminology. The practical par provides the analysis of collected thirty samples of fraud related designations. The research findings confirm the hypotheses that borrowings from Latin in the evolution of legal terminology in the English language.
