Abstract

Pētījums Silvijas Plātas dzejoļu krājuma strukturālistiska analīze tapis ar nolūku analizēt Silvijas Plātas dzeju izmantojot Jūrija Lotmana strukturālo analīzes metodi un apsvērt dzejas sastāva, vienotības, ritma un pantmēra ziņā, kā arī atrast tēlāinus izteiksmes līdzekļus, noteikt to veidus un funkcijas dzejoļos. Pētījums atklāj, ka Lotmana metode ir piemērojama Silvijas Plātas dzejas analīzei un demonstrē kā atrastie tēlāinie izteiksmes līdzekļi tiek izmantoti saistībā ar nāves un bērna piedzimšanas tematiem.

The main goal of Analysis of a Set of Poems by Sylvia Plath is to analyse the poems of Sylvia Plath using the method of structural analysis suggested by Yury Lotman and to consider the poems in terms of composition, unity, rhythm and meter, as well as to look for stylistic devices and determine their function in the particular poem. The research shows that the poems are written in free verse and do not follow a specific rhythmical pattern. The stylistic devices found in the poems demonstrate how they are used in the context of child birth and death.
