Baltmāla pīpes Ventspils un Kuldīgas arheoloģiskajā materiālā

Abstract

Baltmāla pīpe ir viens no visbiežāk atrastajiem priekšmetiem jaunāko vēsturisko laiku arheoloģisko izrakumu vietās. Arī Latvijas teritorijā baltmāla pīpju atradumu skaits ir salīdzinoši liels, kas tad arī liek pievērst uzmanību to pētniecībai. Šo priekšmetu pētniecība Latvijā ir sākuma stadijā, un bieži vien praksē tai netiek pievērsts pietiekami daudz uzmanības. Bakalaura darbā apkopotas baltmāla pīpes, kas atrastas arheoloģisko izrakumu un uzraudzības darbu laikā Ventspilī un Kuldīgā. Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt Ventspilī un Kuldīgā atrastās baltmāla pīpes (to fragmentus), vadoties pēc analoģijām samērā plaši pētītajā Eiropas materiālā par baltmāla pīpēm. Pētījuma rezultātā noskaidrota informācija par Ventspilī un Kuldīgā atrasto baltmāla pīpju tipoloģiju, to izgatavošanas manufaktūrām un meistariem.

White clay pipes are considered as one of the most commonly found archaeological artefacts in post – medieval archaeological sites. Also, considerable amount of white clay pipes have been found in the territory of Latvia, which leads to the importance of researching these objects. The research of white clay pipes in Latvia is still in its beginning stage, and it often has not received enough attention. The bachelor thesis compiles information on white clay pipes found at the archaeological sites in Ventspils and Kuldiga. The purpose of the research is to analyze the gathered white clay pipes, according to the analogies of well researched European material on white clay pipes.
