Sieviešu kimono loma Japānas sabiedrībā 20.-21. gadsimtā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba Sieviešu kimono loma Japānas sabiedrībā 20.–21. gadsimtā mērķis ir izpētīt un izanalizēt sieviešu kimono lomu mūsdienu Japānā, padziļināti ieskatoties pēdējos divos gadsimtos, kā arī, sīkāk apskatot kimono izcelšanās vēsturi pēc ērām. Kimono ir spēcīga daļa Japānas identitātes, tomēr 20. gs. sākums ir pēdējais izteiktas kimono popularitātes laiks. Lai arī mūsdienās kimono nēsāšanas tradīcijas netiek aizmirstas, daudzas vairs nav tik aktuālas kā iepriekš. Darbs sastāv no četrām daļām. Pirmajā tiek aplūkota sieviešu kimono rašanās vēsture un tā veidošana, otrajā daļā tiek pētīti sieviešu kimono veidi dažādos laika periodos, trešajā daļā aplūkota mūsdienu kimono nozīme, tā nēsāšanas tradīcijas un ceturtajā daļā tiek analizēta aptauja par sieviešu kimono lomu mūsdienu Japānas sabiedrībā.

The goal of this bachelor thesis statement Women’s Kimono Role in Japanese Society in the 20th-21st Centuries is to analyze and research the role of the kimono over the last two centuries, paying particular attention to modern Japanese societal traditions as well as taking a deeper look at the origin of the kimono in detail. The kimono is a strong part of the identity of Japan, but the early 20th century was the last period of time when the kimono was explicitly popular. Even though the tradition of wearing the kimono is not entirely forgotten in modern times, it is not as crucial as it was in the past. This bachelor thesis statement consists of four parts in which the following subjects will be analyzed – insight into history of making a women’s kimono: its elements, styles and meaning; the kimono in different periods of time, starting from the Asuka period until the Meiji period; the modern day kimono and tradition of its wear; and survey about women’s kimono role in modern Japanese society.
