Kontakttulkošana Latvijā

Abstract

Pēdējo gadu laikā īpaši Eiropa, bet tai skaitā arī Latvija, piedzīvo izmaiņas iedzīvotāju sastāvā strauji pieaugošā imigrantu skaita dēļ. Vismaz sākotnēji imigrantu vietējās valsts valodas zināšanas nav pietiekamas, vai tādu nav vispār, tādēļ uzņemošajām valstīm publisko pakalpojumu sniegšanai nepieciešami kontakttulkošanas nozares tulku pakalpojumi. Attiecīgi aktuāls un nozīmīgs ir pētījuma jautājums par kontakttulkošanas nozares stāvokli Latvijā. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot esošo situāciju kontakttulkošanas nozarē Latvijā un izstrādāt priekšlikumus tās attīstībai. Pētījuma gaitā autore ieguva secinājumus par kontakttulkošanas nozari ietekmējošajiem iekšējiem un ārējiem faktoriem, uz kuriem balstot SVID analīzi, izstrādāja īstermiņā, vidējā termiņā, ilgtermiņā un pastāvīgi realizējamus priekšlikumus nozares attīstībai.

Recently both Europe on the whole as well Latvia are undergoing changes regarding inhabitant structure due to a rapidly growing number of immigrants. At least in the beginning of their arrival immigrants mostly do not possess adequate or any local language knowledge, therefore services of the community interpreters are required for the provision of the public services of the welcoming country. Therefore the question of the research – community interpreting in Latvia – is a most topical and essential one. The objective of the research was to establish the present situation of the community interpreting industry in Latvia and to present suggestions for its development. Based on the research the author acquired conclusions about the internal and external factors influencing the community interpreting industry in Latvia, based on which the SWOT analysis was performed and short-term, middle-term, long-term and permanent suggestions were presented for development of the industry.
