Latvijas baptisma avoti: skolotāja Mihaēla Hamburgera (1824-1896) teoloģiskie priekšstati

Abstract

Darbā “Latvijas baptisma avoti: Skolotāja Mihaēla Hamburgera (1824-1896) teoloģiskie priekšstati” ir veikts pētījums par baptisma izcelšanos Latvijas teritorijā saistībā ar skolotāja Mihaēla Hamburgera darbību un viņa teoloģiskajiem priekšstatiem, un saikni ar luterāņu mācītāju Konrādu Jozua fon Beuningenu. Darba ietvaros tiek arī pētītas līdz 1860.gadam Latvijas teritorijā publicētajā periodikā pieejamās ziņas par baptistu darbu Eiropā un pasaulē. Darbā pausta atziņa, ka baptisma pirmsākumi Latvijas teritorijā nenotika no luteriskās Baznīcas atrautā domu, ideju un uzskatu telpā, bet veidojās piētisma iespaidā un ciešā saiknē ar sava laika luteriskās Baznīcas pārstāvjiem: skolotāju M.Hamburgeru, mācītāju K.J. fon Beuningenu. Veiktais pētījums palīdz izprast baptisma izcelšanās apstākļus un luteriskās Baznīcas, un citu avotu ietekmi, norādot, ka Latvijas baptisms no 1847-1860.gadam ir veidojies kā atsevišķās luteriskās Baznīcas Kurzemes konsistorijas draudzēs notikušās garīgās kustības turpinājums.

The work “Latvian Baptist Sources: Theological concepts of teacher Mihael Hamburger (1824-1896)” reveals research concerning the rise of Baptists in the territory of Latvia. Specifically, the work of teacher Mihael Hamburger, his theological conceptions, and connections to Lutheran pastor Conrad Josua von Beuningen are noted. This research deals with Baptist work in Europe and the world found in periodicals issued in the territory of Latvia before 1860. In this source, there is expressed acknowledgment that the beginning of Baptist work in the territory of Latvia did not take place apart from the thoughts, ideas and views represented within Lutheran Church. This beginning occurred under influence of Pietism in close connection with representatives from Lutheran Church including teacher M.Hamburger and pastor C.J. von Beuningen. Research is dealing with issues concerning the rise of Baptists and the influence of the Lutheran Church and other sources to it. The Latvian Baptists were formed as a continuation of a revival movement, which took place within several Lutheran Churches of Curland Consistory from 1847 to 1860.
